MSI’s AM5 Exclusive Memory Try It & High-Efficiency Mode BIOS Feature Boost AMD Ryzen 9000 CPU Gaming Performance gain By Up To 10%
The introduction of the Ryzen 9000 series processors by AMD
has brought forth the innovative AMD Optimized Performance Profile (OPP)
feature, which provides a DDR5-6000 CL30 overclocking profile aimed at
improving both memory and gaming performance.
Alongside AMD OPP, MSI Memory Try It! offers a diverse range
of memory frequency and timing configurations designed to enhance the
capabilities of your memory. When paired with the optimization features of
High-Efficiency Mode, you can attain additional performance improvements.
MSI's AM5 motherboards have been updated with the latest
AGESA 1.2.0.0a BIOS, which introduces
new exclusive features such as Memory Try It and High-Efficiency mode. These
enhancements provide additional tuning and performance optimization
capabilities, complementing the standard EXPO OPP and Curve Shaper features
available on all AM5 motherboards equipped with the latest AGESA BIOS and the
new Ryzen 9000 CPUs.
AMD Optimized Performance Profile – Boosts Gaming Performance up to 13%

The AMD OPP is specifically engineered for RAM modules that
utilize Hynix chips, delivering a DDR5-6000 CL30-38-38-96 overclocking profile.
The DDR5-6000 configuration represents an optimal performance level for Ryzen
7000 and 9000 series processors.
In the evaluation of memory and gaming performance with the
Ryzen 7 9700X processor, found that AMD OPP significantly decreases latency by
approximately 19% when compared to the standard DDR5-4800, and by around 5%
relative to DDR5-6000 EXPO. At a resolution of 1080p, gaming performance
improved 2% to 13% over the default DDR5-4800.
AMD OPP + MSI
High-Efficiency Mode –Boosts Gaming Performance by 2.8%
For improved performance compared to AMD OPP, think about pairing it with MSI's High-Efficiency Mode. This mode offers optimized memory settings to further enhance performance. Users can choose the most suitable setting in High-Efficiency Mode based on how well their RAM overclocks, with four presets available: Tightest, Tighter, Balance, and Relax.

When utilizing the Tighter preset in High-Efficiency Mode
alongside AMD OPP instead of just AMD OPP alone, latency can be decreased by
approximately 8% and 1080p gaming performance can see an enhancement of around
2.8 percent.
MSI Memory Try It! +
High-Efficiency Mode – Gaming Performance 3% to 10% Faster than AMD OPP, 6.21%
Faster than Default
MSI Memory Try It! provides a variety of overclocking
options for popular memory chips such as Hynix, Samsung, and Micron, enabling
users to efficiently identify optimal settings for their memory modules.
In comparison to the AMD OPP DDR5-6000 CL30-38-38-96 configuration, Memory Try It! delivers superior frequency and tighter timing combinations, resulting in enhanced performance. For instance, the DDR5-6000 CL28-35-35-60 setting achieves a reduction in memory latency of approximately 7% when compared to AMD OPP. Furthermore, when utilized alongside the Tighter preset from High-Efficiency Mode, latency is diminished by around 10% relative to AMD OPP.

Regarding 1080p gaming performance, the DDR5-6000
CL28-35-35-60 setting from Memory Try It!, when paired with the Tighter profile
of High-Efficiency Mode, demonstrates a performance increase of 3% to 10% over
AMD OPP, 3% to 13% over DDR5-6000 EXPO, and 6% to 21% over the standard
DDR5-4800.
