MSI is announcing the launch of its solid-state drive (SSD) product line with the introduction of SPATIUM. The initial product offering will include M390, which are Gen4 & Gen PCIe NVMe SSDs in compact M.2 2280 form factors that can be installed into compatible desktop motherboards and laptops.

MSI continues to refine its identity as a high-performance PC brand and SPATIUM was envisioned to expand MSI’s ecosystem and cover the high-performance storage category. These SSDs are built with high-quality, high-density 3D NAND flash that delivers the best compromise of performance and endurance for professionals, content creators, and gamers. Among the performance-improving technologies include a DRAM cache buffer for M390; and an SLC cache for all announced models.

MSI SPATIUM M390 is a mainstream PCIe 3.0 NVMe M.2 SSD. Compared to the M390 unveiled at the same time, the M390 similarly supports NVMe 1.3 but uses the PCI express Gen 3 interface. Optimized for the PCIe Gen3 interface, SPATIUM M390 SSD reaches read/write speeds up to 3300/3000 MB/s, allowing for rapid data transfer and shortened game load times. the SPATIUM M390 supports a range of data security and error-correction features such as Trim, S.M.A.R.T., LDPC ECC, E2E Data Protection, and AES256 Encryption
